Never paddled before? We are right on the lake and will help you launch from our docks. For winter, we help you stay dry by plugging up our scupper holes.  For your convenience, spacious indoor restroom facilities are located upstairs along with Alta's Cafe on the patio deck.

What to bring?  a renter's valid drivers license is needed for each boat rented, cash or credit card to rent, a hat and jacket, and water bottle. Valuables are best left in vehicle locked trunks.  Small items can be stored at our desk. We have life vests and pint-sized paddles for kiddos if you think they would like to paddle with you.

Seeking our Tours?  Our Guided Downtown Tours can be booked in advance by writing "info@congresskayaks.com" with a tour fee of $30 per boat.  Alas, Bat Tour season has ended but will resume in 2015 when bats return from their warmer winter home.

Recommended Parking?  600 River Street is the parking lot of the Mexican American Cultural Center, located one block east of the boathouse.  Park at the west side of the lot, walk around the black iron gate, following the sign to cross Waller Creek and through the construction tunnel.  Waller Creek Tunnel project is getting closer to completion.
